Gabriel and I awoke this morning to a crazy thunder storm. Las Vegas rarely gets rain but Pensacola gets TONS. It will seriously rain for a week straight here! After growing up in Arizona and experiencing Monsoon season, we love thunder storms! I personally love constant rain and have always wanted to live in Washington. (Hurricans are another story) I digress.......
I was wrapped in Gabriel's arms listening to the storm (at 5 am). I didn't want to move let alone get up and start the day. Who really wants to start their day at 5 am anyway? Surely not I.
When 5:30 rolled around we drug ourselves out of our warm comfy bed. Gabriel has to leave the house at 6, Matthew and Joshua catch the bus at 6:20. If we are quiet and efficient Jenny and Micah will stay asleep so mommy can have some quiet time. I love mommy quiet time. It doesn't happen very often.
Now that things have settled down and we like it here, Gabriel was told we may have to move to Texas in 2012. It's a long story. We DO NOT want to go to Texas....especially NOT Wichita Falls! YUCK!
We don't know what the future holds for us. I am open to God's will. Where ever we are sent it is because God is sending us there. Romans 10:15 is my life verse, "How can they preach if they are not sent? as it is written 'how beautiful are the feet of those that bring good news'". As Christians we are the carriers of God's good news of salvation through His only begotten son, Jesus. How can I argue with God over that? If we need to spread His devine word in Texas then we will.

Out with the old......In with the new!
This seems to be the theme of our lives. We left Vegas behind about three months ago. I thought it would be our hardest moves thus far. We had made so many friends and put down deep roots. But God prepared our hearts and we began to yearn for change. We prayed for God to make His plan the desire of our hearts......He did. This has been the BEST move for our family. The kids have adjusted amazingly well as have I. We've only lived in Florida for three months but thanks to my TomTom, I am never trapped at home. Praise The Lord! :)
We left our old base house behind for our own home. It feels nice to own a home again, even if it is only for four years. I am renovating everything! I get to paint, replace flooring, and even tear down walls if I want to! That is such a wonderful feeling! Like I said....out with the old and in with the new.
God definately has BIG plans for us. We really like our new church and have already made some great friends. I am on the verge of beginning another new ministry, just waiting on God's timing. In Vegas my life was set on fast forward. I guess it's just that kind of city. After the move I felt like I went from fast forward to pause! I thought it would be nice to have some rest with out any obligations out side of my home and family. And it was, for the first month. By the second month I found myself crying out to God. Begging for Him to give me something, some new way to serve Him. He told me to "Be still and know I am God". This verse was brought to my heart and everything around me over and over again. So I am now committed to taking it slow to ensure I don't end up stuck in Fast forward yet again.
The old........
The New.........
Beautiful, isn't it?
